[SKATRONIX elektrix]

   KoKoMYS stands for a finnish sentence of kodinkone musiikin ystävät which means in english (roughly translated): friends of homemade electronics. we are collabrating with a group in helsinki, KoElSe, kokeellisen elektroniikan seura( in english: assosiation of experimental electronics, www.koelse.org ). we would be happy to get involved with people who are interested about doing electronics, coding etc what involves with technology or people who would like to participate and start and learn about working with these areas. all ideas are welcomed and no previous knowledge nor skills are required.
   we also take donations since we are non-profit organisation, and the donations could be as simple like giving away an old, used TV, phone, cassetteplayer etc, that is so-called electronic waste and could be used to have a new life as an instrumet or as a gadget.

   we consider that clean enviroment means less electronic waste . all new power sources like solar energy are fundamental issues of our intrests. feel free to make propositions about future workshops or maybe ask a question that involves transforming or repairing electronic gadgets or instruments or gaming with retro game consoles for an example. there is no stupid questions.

   all have a nice and productive year 2009!

I'm a french guy staying in Turku as an exchange student in Digital Arts until the end of May. I already met some of yours (Ami, Mikko and some others whose I don't remember the name, sorry...) and they invited me to introduce myself here... So after passing some hours trying to fill the finnish register form, here I am !
I would be very interested in learning anything about electronics, but also to meet people interested in electronic culture. In the french fine arts school from which I come (in a small town called "Angers") I used to do some simple interactive installations, with sound or video. As I'm working with PureData+GEM I'd be glad to share my few knowledges about it, if some of you are interested in...
